Are you looking for days out in Warwickshire? I've lived in the area for several years, first as a child myself, then as a young adult, moving away for a few years and then coming back with my own family. I love days out and have tried and tested lots of tourist attractions and outings. Whether you're looking for days out in Warwickshire for couples, families, kids, toddlers (1, 2 and 3 year olds). Warkwickshire is excellent for children's farms for great days out. Here are two I've personally been to visit. There are some more options below too. Hatton Farm - this has lots to do for the children including feeding the animals, trampolines, small fair rides, sand pits, tractor rides, playground and lots, lots more. There is also a soft play (a small extra charge) and cafe. Hatton farm can be expensive but it really is great for the kids. Look out for 2 for 1 offers on tickets as they have these quite frequently. You can sometimes get 2 for 1 vouchers on voucher cloud. Also, it tends to be cheaper to go in term time. So if you have toddlers or preschoolers (under 5s) term time is the best time to to go.

Umberslade Farm is situated in Tanworth-in-Arden and I have visited it with my 3 year old son and niece. Its a small children's farm, and it wasn't too busy when went despite it being over the Easter break. We went in April which is a good time to go to see all the baby animals. We saw lambs, piglets and chicks. While we were there a goat also gave birth to some kids. There was a timetable of events throughout the day and we got to go on a tractor ride, bottlefeed the lambs, feed the ducks and chickens, stroke some rabbits and hold a baby chick. There's a nice playground and ride on tractor toys too. We ate in the cafe and the food was nice and reasonably priced. I really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it.

Warwick Castle is an impressive tourist attraction. They have lots to see and do, the highlights include the dungeon and the state rooms. There is also the princess tower and the grounds to explore. They often have lots of events and activities going on during the summer and other holidays throughout the year including jousting and lots of performers dressed up in historical costume. It can be expensive so look out for 2 for 1 offers. If you haven't got a 2 for 1 offer, make sure you book in advance on the website as you can save up to 30% on tickets. Another idea is to pay for your day out with Tesco clubcard vouchers. You also have to pay for parking as well so don't forget to factor this in. Stratford is obviously one of the tourism highlights in Warwickshire. Check out some top historical days out below.

Ragley Hall is a stately home in Warwickshire. It's mainly open in the school holidays and for special events so you have to check the website to see when to go. The great thing for kids at Ragley Hall is the outdoor playground. There is a maze and fantastic slides and climbing structures as well as a zip wire.

Adults without children will love looking round the state rooms inside Ragley House and exploring the vast gardens.

Kenilworth Castle is among one of the largest Castle ruins in England. The ruins are best known as the home of Robert Dudley, the great love of Queen Elizabeth I. Dudley created an ornate palace here to impress his beloved Queen in 1575..There are often events that take place here on bank holidays and weekends. Check out the website for more details.

Here is a selection of NT properties in Warwickshire.They often have events on for families and children during the school holidays so it's worth checking out their websites to see what is going on.

We spent an afternoon in the grounds of Coughton Court in the May bank holiday with our then 4 year old. The grounds are great for families. The National Trust have two prices, one to enter the ground and see the gardens and another to see the property itself. For young children and families they often put on events and activities in the grounds. Coughton Court had a small playground great for younger children as well as some chickens to look at. We did a big trail around the gardens. There were ducks to see as well as vegetable gardens. There is also a church in the grounds which you can go in and see as part of your admission. As well as the trail there was an art and craft activity for children too.

Update - we went again in November 2013, with my then 6 year old. It was a fascinating time to go as it has lots of history regarding the events of November 5th. There was a trail around the house for children to do which my son really enjoyed.
